Spanish police have stormed a house and shot dead a man who wounded his daughter's partner and two police officers.
A Guardia Civil spokesman said an elite unit stormed the house in the northeastern town of Ejea de los Caballeros early Thursday after trying to persuade the man to surrender.
He said the man, believed to be in his 70s, opened fire on the officers, wounding one, before being killed.
The spokesman said the man had been holed up in his house for 12 hours after shooting at his daughter's partner and another police officer Wednesday.
The spokesman said the three wounded are not in serious condition.
The officer spoke on condition of anonymity as force regulations prevent him from being identified publicly.
