8 Spaniards arrested on suspicion of fighting on pro-Russian side in Ukraine

MADRID – Police say they have arrested eight Spaniards suspected of fighting on the pro-Russian side in eastern Ukraine.

A police statement said the eight were arrested Friday morning in six different parts of Spain. The statement said the eight were accused of several offenses but gave no details.

The statement said several houses were raided and the operation was continuing.
