The mother of one of the women accusing former tennis star Bob Hewitt of rape says her daughter is lying.

Judy Sheehan testified in a South African court on Tuesday that her daughter was not abused by the Grand Slam doubles champion and former Hall of Fame member.

Suellen Sheehan is one of three women who have accused Hewitt of sexually abusing them when they were underage and being coached by him decades ago. But Judy Sheehan testified that her daughter was never left alone with Hewitt, contradicting her daughter's testimony that she was raped by Hewitt in his car in 1982 when she was 12.

Twiggy Tolken also charges that she was raped by Hewitt when she was a minor. A third woman says Hewitt sexually assaulted her.
