The body of a suspected child stowaway was found in the compartment above the rear landing gear of a U.S. Air Force C-130J cargo aircraft after it landed at a base in Germany, a Pentagon spokesman confirms.
Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby said the suspected stowaway was a black male who may have been of African origin. The plane stopped in several African countries before it arrived Sunday at Germany's Ramstein air base.
The C-130 was supporting a U.S. Africom mission.
German authorities are investigating the incident.
