Malaysian prime minister to travel to Netherlands to discuss Flight 17 with Dutch counterpart

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak will travel to the Netherlands on Wednesday to discuss the downed Malaysia Airlines jet with his Dutch counterpart.

In a statement Saturday, Najib said that in particular, he will discuss with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte whether "Malaysian pathologists can be of assistance in expediting the process of identifying the human remains."

The statement said that the two also will discuss securing full access to the crash site, and that Najib will visit the forensic center.

There were 43 Malaysians on Flight 17 when it was shot down on July 17, killing all 298 people on board.
