SAO PAULO – Brazil's Foreign Ministry says Ukraine's president Petro Poroshenko has confirmed he will watch Sunday's final World Cup match in Rio de Janeiro's Maracana stadium along with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other world leaders.
A ministry press officer said he Poroshenko may not arrive in time for the pre-game lunch hosted by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
But the press officer says Poroshenko "has confirmed he will be at the stadium to watch Germany and Argentina play the final."
Citing internal regulations he declined to be identified.
Before the game, Rousseff will offer a lunch for several leaders which besides Putin include German Chancellor Angela Merkel, South African President Jacob Zuma and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
