South African officials say more than 50 people were injured when two trains collided in the eastern coastal city of Durban.

Magnussen says there were 52 injured people, while emergency responder Russel Meiring puts the number of injured higher at 80. Meiring says the injuries range from "minor to moderate."

There are no reports of fatalities. An investigation of the cause of the accident is underway.
