Guyana judge dismisses murder charge against former beauty queen in husband's slaying

A judge in Guyana has dismissed a murder charge against a former beauty queen in the South American country.

Guyana's chief magistrate ruled Monday there is no evidence to prove that Carolan Lynch killed her wealthy husband in 2007, a few months after she was crowned Mrs. South America.

Her husband, Farouk Razack, was found strangled in the bedroom of their home in the capital of Georgetown. He was director of Guyana's biggest currency exchange business.

Lynch was cleared in the same case in 2007 after another magistrate found no evidence against her, but prosecutors re-filed charges in 2010.
