A 39-year-old tech executive at JP Morgan fell to his death from the bank's 33-story London headquarters on Tuesday, Reuters reported.

British police are calling it a "non-suspicious incident."

According to the report, the man was pronounced dead at the scene after hitting a ninth-floor roof.

A source told Reuters that the executive is Gabriel Magee, a vice president with JP Morgan's corporate and investment bank technology division.  Magee had been an employee since 2004.

"We are deeply saddened to have lost a member of the JP Morgan family at 25 Bank Street today," JP Morgan said in a statement. "Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family and his friends."

Although details of Tuesday's event remain unclear, occasional suicides by London bank employees have incited criticism of the demands placed on some financial services workers, Reuters reported.

A Bank of America manager jumped in front of a train and another employee jumped from a seventh-floor restaurant in 2012. A German intern at Bank of America died of epilepsy last year in London.
