Now that they've ended a two-decade run of losing baseball, the Pittsburgh Pirates have more lofty goals in mind.

The Pirates put "The Streak" in the past Tuesday night with their 81st win of the season. They took a two-game lead in the NL Central into Wednesday night's game at Milwaukee, and are trying to hold off St. Louis and Cincinnati for the division title.

Newly acquired outfielder Marlon Byrd isn't making a big deal about the milestone. He says it was inevitable after the change in culture in the Pirates' organization over the past two seasons.

Second baseman Neil Walker, who was born in Pittsburgh and still lives in the Steel City, is more passionate. He says it's significant to be part of the team that closed out the long run of futility.
