Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea are promoting clean water in Rwanda.

The two Clintons wrapped up a two-day visit to Rwanda on Tuesday. On Monday the pair watched as water purification chemical packets turned a bucket of dirty and unsafe water into sanitary drinking water.

The former president called the process "magical." Clinton said he spends a lot of time trying to reduce the mortality rate of children, which involves reducing malnutrition but also ensuring access to clean water.

Greg Allgood of World Vision said the purification project launched along with Procter & Gamble Co. will provide 75 million liters of clean drinking water by the end of 2013.

The two Clintons are on a five-country tour of Africa. The pair landed in South Africa later Tuesday.
