BEIJING – Chinese state media say a school principal and a government official are suspected of inappropriate behavior with six girls younger than 14, after taking them to hotels and spending a night with them.
Xinhua News Agency said Tuesday that a school principal in Wanning city was fired after one of the four girls with whom he spent the night of May 8 in a hotel said he had been intimate with her. Xinhua did not provide further details of the inappropriate behavior, though the report cites police as saying no sexual intercourse took place.
It says a government worker took two other schoolgirls to another hotel the same night, but that the girls denied he acted inappropriately.
Xinhua says an investigation is underway.
