Death toll from Swiss workplace shooting rises to 5, suspect's motive still unclear

A man wounded in a February shooting at a wood-processing company in central Switzerland has died — bringing the death toll to five including the suspected attacker.

Prosecutors in Lucerne said the 61-year-old victim, whom they didn't identify, died in a hospital on Thursday. One more person is still hospitalized.

The shooting happened Feb. 27 at the Kronospan company in the town of Menznau. The suspected attacker, a Swiss man originally from Kosovo, was a longtime employee.

Prosecutors said in a statement Friday that the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
