Philippine police say al-Qaida-linked militants have freed the two Filipino members of a kidnapped Jordanian TV reporter's crew in the country's south after eight months of jungle captivity.

Police Senior Superintendent Antonio Freyra says policemen found frail-looking cameraman Ramel Vela and audio technician Roland Letriro late Saturday and brought them to a hospital in southern Sulu province, where they were kidnapped in June along with Jordanian Baker Abdulla Atyani, who is still believed held by Abu Sayyaf gunmen.

Freyra told The Associated Press on Sunday that the two freed captives lost considerable weight and were still stunned by their long captivity.
