SOFIA, Bulgaria – Relatives of five Israeli tourists killed in a bomb attack in Bulgaria last month have attended a ceremony in the capital, Sofia, to honor the memory of their loved ones.
In Sofia's main synagogue on Tuesday, the families were joined by Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and Israeli Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon.
On Wednesday, a memorial service will be held at the site of the attack in the Black Sea city of Burgas, a popular vacation destination for Israeli tourists.
Bulgarian authorities still have not commented on the identity of the suicide attacker or how many people were believed to have been involved. They have also declined to back up Israel's claim that Iran and the militant group Hezbollah played roles in the attack.
