MADRID – In a June 10 story about Spain's rescue package for its banks, The Associated Press misstated the amount of new debt that the financial lifeline of up to €100 billion ($125 billion) would be for each person in the country of 47 million, specifying it as €21,000. The correct amount would be €2,100 per person if the entire rescue package is tapped, about 10 percent of the average annual Spanish salary.
