PALERMO, Italy -- I'm baking you an offer you cannot refuse!

Italian cops rounded up five mafia suspects Wednesday accused of extorting pastries from their favorite bakery, ANSA reported.

The sticky-fingered mobsters demanded the sweet treats as payment in an apparent protection racket operated in the Sicilian capital of Palermo.

The bakery's owner was also forced to buy lottery ticket from them, the news agency said.

The swoops were part of a police crackdown on the Pagliarelli clan, which is accused of extortion and mafia activity.
