A statue of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan is being unveiled near the American embassy in London.

Condoleezza Rice, who served in former President George W. Bush's administration, is expected to attend Monday's ceremony along with British Foreign Secretary William Hague.

Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Reagan's close ally, was invited but it was uncertain if her frail health would permit her to be there.

The statue was commissioned by the Reagan Memorial Fund Trust. It joins images of former presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower in Grosvenor Square.
