Under a new budget proposal by the U.S. Homeland Security office, citizens from Mexico, Caribbean, and Canada would have to pay a new fee to enter the United States.
The new federal budget proposes a $5.50 U.S. entry fee from visitors entering the United States from Canada and Mexico. The fee would net millions for the U.S. but many of our neighbors are not happy about it.
The proposal would lift an entry fee exemption currently applied to these countries.
