LUSAKA, Zambia – In a Jan. 4 story about two Chinese coal mine managers accused of firing upon striking workers in Zambia, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Chinese embassy officials had paid the managers' bail and that they were the subjects of arrest warrants.
Zambian bail bondsmen had paid the bail. A judge issued warrants for their arrest when the mine managers missed a Jan. 4 court appearance.
