LONDON – LONDON (AP) — This year's London Film Festival will close with a film based on the true story of a mountaineer who escaped death in a remote canyon by cutting off his own arm.
Organizers said Friday that "127 Hours" would wrap up the festival on Oct. 28. It is directed by Danny Boyle, whose last film was the Academy Award-winning "Slumdog Millionaire."
The film is scripted by Simon Beaufoy, who also wrote "Slumdog Millionaire."
The 54th London Film Festival opens Oct. 13 with "Never Let Me Go."
