— May 10 — A series of blasts and shootings across Iraq kills at least 119 in Iraq's deadliest day so far this year.

— April 23 — A series blasts mainly targeting Shiite worshippers kill at least 72 people in Baghdad and Ramadi, west of the capital.

— April 6 — Bombs rip through apartment buildings and a market in Baghdad, killing at least 50 people.
