MILWAUKEE —  Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen has been ejected by plate umpire Jim Wolf for arguing in the fourth inning against the Milwaukee Brewers.

With New York leading 2-1, Warthen visited starter Johan Santana on the mound Tuesday night after the left-hander loaded the bases on two walks and a fly-ball double. Warthen began arguing with Wolf as the two walked off the mound and was thrown out of the game.

Moments later, Ryan Braun hit a three-run double and scored on the play when Santana committed a throwing error after backing up the plate.
