The Oakland Raiders have signed linebacker Morlon Greenwood and cut defensive end Derrick Gray.

The move announced Sunday gives the Raiders more depth at linebacker with Jon Alston nursing a foot injury and Isaiah Ekejiuba slowed by a dislocated shoulder.

Greenwood saw his production and playing time decrease last season in Houston and was released in February. He started 10 games and finished with 31 solo tackles last season.

Also, backup quarterback Jeff Garcia missed a second straight day of practice because of personal issues. Garcia hasn't practiced in two weeks because of a calf injury.

Cable said Garcia would be back Monday and ready to return to practice as the team's No. 2 quarterback.

"He's champing at the bit as much as I am," Cable said. "You got to take care of your body and he does a good job of that."

Cable also said that receiver Javon Walker could be taken off the physically unable to perform list following Saturday's game against San Francisco. Walker has been sidelined after undergoing offseason knee surgery.
