The Chicago White Sox have called up right-hander Jhonny Nunez from Triple-A Charlotte and optioned infielder Brent Lillibridge to the same club.
The moves were announced Saturday before Chicago's game against the New York Yankees.
Lillibridge had been recalled on Friday and spent just one game with the White Sox during his latest stint. He is batting .162 with four stolen bases in 24 games with the major league club.
Nunez is 3-0 with a 2.45 ERA in 33 relief appearances at Double-A and Triple-A this season. He was acquired from the Yankees as part of a five-player trade this past offseason.
