SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador Authorities in El Salvador say they have found the bodies of two young girls who were swept away by a flash flood. Their father is still missing.
The bodies of the girls, aged 10 and 12, were found Tuesday in a river downstream from the spot where they disappeared the night before.
Miriam Zelaya, the governor of the country's eastern Usulatan province, said the search continues for their 50-year-old father, who was with them as they tried to cross a flooded roadway in the town of San Rafael Oriente.
El Salvador has been hit by heavy rains since the weekend.
