McNair Hurts Hand, X-Rays Negative
Sunday, December 17, 2006
BALTIMORE Ravens quarterback Steve McNair left Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns after his right hand was stepped on following an incomplete pass. The injury occurred when Cleveland's Andra Davis stepped on the quarterback's hand after McNair was thrown to the ground while throwing on third down. McNair was taken to the locker room for X-rays, which were negative.
He was replaced by Kyle Boller, who engineered a two-play, 16-yard scoring drive without throwing a pass.
McNair started the game with incompletions on his first four passing attempts. He had the cut on his hand taped, and expected to return to action.
