What is the Windows Phone application?

The Fox News Windows Phone application is a mobile application built specifically for the Windows Phone. The application provides a way for you to stay connected to Fox News wherever you are.

What features does the Fox News Windows Phone application offer?

With the Fox News Windows Phone application you can read the hottest stories of the day, browse through photo galleries, watch the latest video clips from Fox News Channel and more, all for free!

How do I download the Fox News Windows Phone Application?

The Fox News Windows Phone application can be downloaded in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Does the Fox News Windows Phone application cost anything?

Fox News does not charge to download or use the application at this time. Please note that in the absence of a Wi-Fi connection, the Fox News Windows Phone application uses your phone's cellular network connection to access and download content. Please check with your carrier to see if you will be charged for usage.

Can I read the news offline or in Airplane Mode?

Yes, you can read the latest news from the last time your device was connected to the Internet. Please note that some features including on-demand video require a network connection and will not be available when you are offline.

Can I watch Fox News Channel on the application?

At this time, streaming Fox News Channel is not available through the Fox News Windows Phone application. On-demand video clips are available, however, for all Fox News programming.

To access on-demand video clips from your favorite FNC shows, swipe to the Shows section on the home panorama. Select all shows to view a complete list of Fox News Channel programs. To view on-demand video clips by topic, select a topic from the topics list and tap Videos.

How do I enable Live Tiles?

You can pin the Fox News app for a snapshot of the top story, your favorite news categories or Fox News Channel shows right to your Start screen! To enable the Live Tile, select Settings from the menu on the home panorama, and then switch Live Tile updates ON.

Pin Fox News: After the Live Tile has been turned on, tap and hold the Fox News application icon on your phone's application menu. Then select pin to start.

Pin a Show: To pin a show to your Start screen, swipe to the Shows section, tap all shows. Scroll to find your favorite show. Tap and hold the show you want to pin, then tap pin to start.

Pin a Topic: To pin a topic to your Start screen, swipe to the topics section. Tap and hold the show you want to pin, then tap pin to start.

The Live Tiles will begin updating shortly after they have been pinned.

How do I remove a Live Tile?

To remove a Live Tile, find the show or topic in the app. Tap and hold the show you want to remove from your start screen, then tap remove pin.

How do I view the Fox News Channel schedule on the application?

To find out what is currently airing on the Fox News Channel, swipe to the Shows section on the home panorama. To access the full Fox News Channel program list, select all shows at the bottom of the screen.

How do I access breaking news?

Fox News Alerts are available while you are browsing the application. If you are browsing the application when breaking news hits, a banner will be appear at the bottom of the screen with the headline.

How do I save articles, videos, or photos?

Tap and hold the story on the page you want to save until the Share/Save menu appears. Tap Save to save the story to your Saved list. You can also save stories by following the instructions below.

To save articles & photos:

Tap the floppy disk icon on the page where you are viewing the content
You can then review your saved content later on the homescreen of the app by swiping to the Saved section

To save videos:

After watching a video, tap Save

How do I remove saved items from my Saved list?

Tap and hold the story on the page you want to remove until the Save/Save menu appears. Tap 'remove from saved' to remove the story from your Saved list. You can also remove stories by following the instructions below.

On the Saved list, tap the Select Icon at the bottom of the app screen
Tap the grey boxes next to the stories you want to remove, and then tap the trash can icon to delete the stories from your list

How can I share Fox News articles, videos, and photos?

You can share Fox News content via email, Facebook, and Twitter. Tap and hold the story on the page you want to share until the Share/Save menu appears. Tap Share to share the story. You can also share stories by following the instructions below.

To share articles & slideshows:

Click on the share icon (gift icon)
Select one of the options to share the story

To share videos:

Wait until the end of the video, or press the back button during the video on your phone
Tap Share
Select one of the options to share the story

How do I change the font size?

You can change the font size on the article pages. At the bottom of the screen there is a T- and a T+, tap the T+ to increase the font size, tap the T- to decrease it. The font size you select will be saved for future articles.
