A Leap Forward

From its start in 1996 FOX News Channel has set new standards in quality telecasting. With the launch of our widescreen format, we once again
deliver the next generation of television.

“We are extremely excited about HD, and widescreen lets us bring this experience to our SD viewers,” says Warren Vandeveer, Senior VP Technical Operations & Engineering. “We’ve invested in our future and the growth of a dynamic and exciting product.”

The move to a widescreen format allows us to enhance the viewing experience, and adds a dimension of unparalleled digital quality.

“FOX News Channel has helped change the television viewing experience; we have transformed the screen and are committed to bringing cutting edge technology to our viewers,” says Executive Vice President Programming Bill Shine.

With state of the art control rooms, increased satellite capabilities, and a global news gathering infrastructure, FOX News continues to set the pace for the industry.

As FOX News Channel moves forward we are delighted that you, our viewers, are making this move with us. Expect new innovations and creativity in the future…

As always, thank you for making FOX News the #1 name in news.

As television technology transitions, so do we! On September 28, 2009,
FOX News Channel made a format change to the way we telecast.

Why? Because we wanted all of our viewers to be able to watch FNC the same way regardless of old or new model TV sets.

Now, all of our viewers get to watch our channel in the widescreen format. Settings on your television may need to be adjusted to properly view our new telecast. Learn more about setting your TV for the widescreen format. And don’t worry, this in no way changes the way we bring you the news.
