Temperatures will remain slightly below normal in the Los Angeles area through the start of the weekend.
After a sunny day on Friday, with highs in the low 70s Fahrenheit, clouds will return Saturday as a dip in the jet stream dives into the southwestern part of the country, according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Edwards.
"There could be a shower or thunderstorm in the mountains," Edwards said.
Temperatures will gradually rise into the upper 70s for the start of the new week and there will be increasing amounts of sunshine from Sunday through Tuesday.
An average temperature this time of year in the city is 74 F.
Dodgers fans headed to Chavez Ravine for the weekend series against the Padres will have enjoyable weather for baseball.
