San Francisco: Dry spell to return following late week rain

Following late-week rain, a stretch of dry weather will return to the San Francisco area through early next week.

"The storm on Friday will only bring around a tenth of an inch of rain to the Bay area which will do little to impact the overall rain deficit so far this month," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said.

By the weekend, an area of high pressure will hold strong across the southwestern United States causing any storms to bring rain to the Pacific Northwest, but not into San Francisco.

"More dry weather will continue this weekend and into the first part of next week," Pydynowski said.

Each day from Saturday into Tuesday will feature at least partial sunshine and highs in the 60s.

"Highs Saturday through Tuesday will average between 5 and 8 degrees above normal, continuing the trend of a mild, dry February in San Francisco," Pydynowski said.

The pleasant weather will not bring any weather related problems for any outdoor activities or travel this weekend.
