A series of storm systems tracking near and northwest of the United Kingdom will bring spells of rain to the British Isles and result in unseasonable warmth this weekend.
Rain will spread over Northern Ireland, Wales and southern England on Tuesday before racing northeast to northern England and Scotland Tuesday night.
Despite the rain, temperatures will range from 10-13 C (50-55 F) in Northern Ireland, Wales and much of England. Temperatures will range from 5-10 C (40-50 F) across Scotland and far northern England.
Morning rain will yield to a dry afternoon across much of the U.K. on Wednesday.
Temperatures will be even milder than the previous day with highs reaching 15 C (59 F) in parts of southern England.
The dry weather and warmth will provide a good opportunity to visit Christmas markets or get outdoors before rain returns for several hours on Thursday.
With widespread high temperatures of 13-16 C (55-60 F) in Wales and England, Thursday will mark the warmest day of the week for much of the U.K.
The normal high temperature in London this time of the year is 7 C (45 F).
Another storm will bring rainfall to the U.K. this weekend as mild temperatures continue.
