High pressure will bring dry conditions to all of Germany briefly on Thursday before the threat for showers returns on Friday.
More seasonable temperatures will accompany this dry weather with high temperatures ranging from 4-7 C (39-45 F).
Aside from patchy morning fog, sunshine will prevail across southern Germany with a mixture of clouds and sunshine in the north.
An approaching cold front will increase clouds across all of Germany on Thursday night with showers advancing into the northwest.
Locations north and west of Berlin could get a shower or two overnight into Friday. Areas from Berlin southward can expect a few showers on Friday.
Rainfall will generally average less than 6 mm (0.25 of an inch). While flooding and travel delays are not expected, anyone traveling or going outdoors may want to have an umbrella handy.
Another storm arriving on Saturday will spread additional rainfall across northern and central Germany throughout the weekend.
Temperatures will remain cool but a few degrees above normal for all of Germany from this weekend into next week.
