Warm and sunny weather will continue this weekend across Spain.
After rain moves into the northwestern part of the country late this week, dry weather will dominate the country this weekend.
Sunny to partly sunny skies are forecast, although more clouds and patchy fog will appear in the north. A stray shower cannot be ruled out in the northwest Saturday night into Sunday.
Above-average warmth is forecast for much of the country. Temperatures in Madrid will rise to around 16-17 C (lower 60s F) both days. A normal high temperature for this time of year in the city is 10 C (51 F).
The warmest air will be in the southwestern part of Spain where high temperatures will reach 21-22 C (between 69 and 71 F).
In Barcelona, temperatures are forecast to remain near normal. Daytime highs will be around 16 C (61 F) this weekend.
The dry weather conditions will be promising news to football fans planning to attend a match this weekend. On Saturday, F.C. Barcelona will travel to Valencia for its next fixture, while Real Madrid will play Getafe CF.
The quiet weather pattern will remain over the country into the new week.
