Chicago: Cooler Air, Showers Return This Weekend

After days of temperatures more than 15 degrees Fahrenheit above normal, more seasonable air is making its return to the Chicago area.

After highs around 60 F on Thanksgiving, weekend highs in the low to mid-40s may feel chilly. Those headed outside for Christmas shopping or other activities will want to bundle up more than they have in recent days.

Though sunshine will span the day on the Sunday, clouds and wet weather will roll into the area after sunset.

Rain will begin on Sunday night and continue into the early part of the workweek. Commuters may want to pack an umbrella for Monday morning.

Temperatures in the mid-40s on Monday will prevent the city from getting any accumulating snow, though flurries may fly during the night.

On Tuesday, snow showers are forecast to return to the area.
