While a pair of storm systems will pass to the north and south of Germany late this week, the weather is expected to remain tranquil across the country on Thursday and much of the day Friday.
Dry weather is expected along with clouds and breaks of sun into Friday, said AccuWeather Meteorologist Randy Adkins. During this time, temperatures will be near average across Germany as daytime highs will be near 4-7 C (39-44 F), he said.
For those who are planning to travel or spend time outdoors, a jacket will be recommended during the day, but by Friday night, a rain jacket or umbrella will be necessary.
However, a frontal system to the northwest of the country will push into the region by Friday night and light showers are expected.
"We're not expecting heavy rain with this system," Adkins said.
Winds will increase as a result of the system as they will blow out of the northwest, at 25-35 km/h (15-18 mph), Adkins said.
The coldest locations in the country will be along coastal areas on Thursday and Friday.
Some snow could mix in with the rain across southern Germany, from Friday night into early Saturday morning, but there will be no accumulation.
Skies will clear in Germany by the early part of the afternoon on Saturday. However, a quick-moving upper-level disturbance will bring additional shower activity to much of Germany Saturday evening. Snow could once again mix with rain but no accumulation is expected.
