BREAKING: Russian Jetliner Crashes in Egypt, Egyptian Government Says

A Russian jetliner, with as many as 220 people on board, crashed Saturday in Egypt, according to Reuters and the BBC.

The Airbus A-321 took off from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, Russia, the BBC reported on its website.

The plane, which took off at 11:51 p.m. EDT Friday/5:51 a.m. Egyptian time Saturday, disappeared from flight radars about 25 minutes into the flight, the BBC said.
