One of the most celebrated days of the year, Chile's Independence Day will have sunshine and comfortable temperatures.
Staring on Friday, the celebration know as "Dieciocho," or the 18th, throughout the country will kick off Chile's Independence Day.
Outdoor activities include the Chilean rodeo, dancing and lots of food, from barbecue to fondas. Many of those heading out to celebrate on Friday, and even through the weekend, will be greeted by welcomed sunshine.
A few rain or snow showers are possible on Friday, mainly south of Puerto Montt. However, the rest of the country will experience sunshine and a few clouds. Into the weekend, temperatures are likely to remain near normal.
Across the entire country, sunshine will prevail on Saturday, with temperatures warming up slightly.
With a mix of clouds and sun, Santiago can expect temperatures between 18 and 20 C (65 to 70 F) each afternoon. Closer to the coast, places from Antofagasta to La Serna could deal with some morning clouds before the sun breaks through.
