Conditions will be dry and warm for the Minneapolis area through the Independence Day weekend. Daytime highs will be close to 85 F with mostly sunny skies on July Fourth, AccuWeather meteorologist Maggie Samhuel said.
The average high for the Fourth of July is 83 degrees Fahrenheit in Minneapolis.
Those who are participating in outdoor activities can expect ideal conditions for picnics, fireworks and other activities for the Independence Day Weekend.
Nighttime conditions should remain mild and very comfortable with the low temperature settling in the mid- to upper 60s F. For the Red, White & BOOM Celebration at 10 p.m., AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures are expected to settle into the mid-70s.
Conditions on Sunday will be partly sunny and highs will hovering in the upper 80s F. The next chance for precipitation will be Sunday evening when a storm system passes through.
"A cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms Sunday evening into Monday, but conditions will clear out Monday morning just in time for the workweek," Samuhel said. "The early part of the week should be beautiful with low humidity, sunshine and seasonal temperatures."
