The 2015 Crabbie's Grand National Festival is underway amid perfect weather, but cooler air will return before Saturday's main race.
On Friday, jockeys and spectators at the festival will continue to enjoy the mild spell that has transpired across the United Kingdom.
Temperatures on Friday at the Aintree Racecourse (located north of Liverpool) will rise into the upper teens C (near 65 F) for Ladies Day. A high around 12.2 C (54 F) is more common in April.
A breeze from the south at 25 to 35 kph (10 to 20 mph) will blow as sunshine mixes with clouds. Despite the clouds, dry weather will hold.
Those who opt not to wear a jacket on Friday may want to rethink that decision for Saturday's Grand National Day.
