WATCH: Drought-Induced Trickle of Yosemite Waterfalls Returns to Raging Flow After Recent Rain

Parched California has received welcomed rainfall over the last several days that have brought back a tourist favorite to Yosemite National Park.

The famous Yosemite Falls have been little more than trickling amid the arid conditions but nearly 1.25 inches of rain has brought back the gushing display. After receiving zero percent of the normal rainfall for October and 59 percent in November, the falls were barely visible until the swath of storms moved into the area this week.

The welcome sight of the roaring waterfalls should continue as additional rain is expected, according to Meteorologist Brett Anderson.

"The renewed falls will continue to go strong," he said. "Rain and stormy conditions will actually pick up over the next few weeks."
