Sunny days will be hard to come by in Harrisburg this week, with a persistent forecast of clouds and on-and-off rain, as well as a mix of snow and sleet at times.
The Harrisburg area will fluctuate between two distinctly different air masses throughout this week into the weekend. This will cause temperatures to shift from day to day, with high temperatures ranging from the middle 40s to the 50s.
Chilly air is forecast to again return to the region on Thursday and Friday with the potential for another wintry mix event by the end of the week over some interior locations of the Northeast.
Snow and sleet will cover the ground and potentially disrupt the evening commute on Friday. Rain showers will be around throughout the weekend, so the AccuWeather.com MinuteCast™ for Harrisburg will come in handy.
The start of meteorological winter will be fairly seasonable as far as temperatures are concerned, with no major winter storms looming on the horizon.
