A trend back to seasonable temperatures is slated for this weekend in the Dallas area, ahead of potentially heavy rain next week.
Dry weather and some sunshine will prevail through Sunday.
Fans attending the Dallas Cowboys' game against the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium may need to hold on to their hats. South-southwest winds will be gusting to 25 mph throughout the game. Kickoff is slated for 12:00 CST Sunday.
Unsettled weather will return on Monday, with rain and perhaps a rumbles of thunder for the afternoon commute. Temperatures will jump into the 70s ahead of the rain.
Voters heading out on Election Day to cast a ballot in the governor's race between Republican Greg Abbott and Democrat Wendy Davis and other seats will want to wear water-resistant shoes and bring an umbrella.
A storm and frontal system will pull an abundance of Gulf moisture northward on Tuesday. Heavy rain will move into the Dallas area in the morning hours and may persist through the day as the system slowly moves east.
Depending on the speed of the system, rounds of rain may linger in parts of northern Texas through the balance of the week.
