Los Angeles: Dry, Seasonable Conditions Through Early Next Week

Sunshine and cooler air will be seen around Los Angeles for the weekend and into early next week.

A storm system over the Pacific Northwest will bring rain showers to northern California over the weekend, but the rainfall will not stretch down to Los Angeles. As this system moves through, cooler temperatures are expected for the weekend and into early next week.

For October thus far, through the 23rd, temperatures have averaged about 5 degrees F above normal.

It may feel refreshing to some people as temperatures cool to seasonable values for the weekend and into early next week. The average high for the end of October is in the lower 70s.

There may be early morning low clouds that may cause minor travel delays for airlines at the Los Angeles International Airport.

With the Los Angeles area only getting 0.01 of an inch of rainfall since Sept. 1, 2014, the ongoing lack of rainfall will not bring any relief to the exceptional drought seen over the area.
