Showers to Avoid World Cup Championship Match

The highly anticipated World Cup Championship Match is just hours away and will be played without the threat of rain.

Several of the matches on the road to the title of the World Cup have been played in the midst of rain. Flooding around Recife even made headlines before the match between the United States and Germany.

Such issues will not be present on Sunday afternoon as Germany faces Argentina in Rio de Janeiro. Drier air will win out over the threat for showers, allowing sunshine to mix with some clouds instead.

Fans will not have to worry about carrying along rain gear to the match or for the following celebrations for the winning team.

A seasonable temperature of 77 F (25 C) will compliment the weather to start the match, while oppressive humidity will be absent.

Temperatures will fall into and through the upper 60s (around 20 C) during the evening.
