After showers and storms spread across Southeastern Europe to end the week, more rain will be on the way through the weekend.
More rain moves into Southern Europe, including Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, and eastern France.
The timing for showers in France is particularly unwelcome, with the Tour De France in full swing. The eighth and ninth legs from Tomblaine to Mulhouse in eastern France this weekend will be interrupted by some showers Saturday. By Sunday, a front will be moving through, bringing the chance for periods or rain to be heavy.
Some areas, especially in the higher elevations, could see as much as two inches of rain by the end of the weekend.
The rain on Sunday will extend as far eastward as Italy, and will continue moving through areas in southern Europe that have already seen more than enough heavy rain this past week.
