"I've dreamed about a day like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said on her Facebook page. "Pretty sure this will only happen once in my lifetime!" Canada Weather Expert Brett Anderson said that there were several confirmed tornado touchdowns across the southern part of the province on Saturday.

He added that a majority of sightings were reported in the Kenaston, Outlook and Regina Beach areas.

"On Saturday, an approaching disturbance clashed with very warm and humid air across the region, which initiated the thunderstorms," Anderson said. "Strong, shifting winds aloft provided the energy for the formation of tornadoes."

Anderson said that tornadoes are not that uncommon across the Canadian Prairies, especially during the summer months.

"This region of Saskatchewan averages anywhere from two to five tornadoes a year," he said.
