Downpours Remain a Threat for World Cup Tuesday

Three World Cup matches are scheduled for Tuesday and downpours could impact the results once again.

The greatest threat for rain will be the afternoon matchup between Brazil and Mexico, taking place in the northern city of Fortaleza.

Downpours will be possible during the morning, potentially deteriorating field conditions prior to the start of the match, with additional rain during the match.

On top of the rain threat, steamy conditions will prevail. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s F (27-29 C) when it is not raining, combined with tropical dew points, making it very taxing for the athletes involved in the matches.

Dry weather and more comfortable temperatures are expected for the other two matches, taking place in Cuiaba during the evening with the first match of the day in Belo Horizonte.
