Seattle: Cloudy Skies and Rain Showers in Store for City

As a weak disturbance moves off the Pacific into the Northwest, Seattle will see a chance for some light rain early in the weekend before a larger storm system moves in.

"While it will be mostly dry Saturday, we can't rule out a shower Saturday night into Sunday morning," AccuWeather.Com Meteorologist Frank Strait said.

The main concern for the weekend will be mostly cloudy skies until early next week.

Daytime temperatures throughout the weekend will stay in the mid-50s, while overnight lows will hover in the high 30s and low 40s.

"Monday is a nice day, pretty sunny, but it will cloud up Monday night into Tuesday," he said. "There will be a storm moving in off the Pacific into the Northwest."

In addition, snow levels along the Cascade Range will remain below pass level as the storm moves in.

"Anyone thinking about traveling through the Cascades may experience some potentially rough travel," Strait said.

As the storm moves through, the early workweek will see more cloudy skies and showers into Wednesday, he said.
