Taste of Spring Coming to Cleveland

After an appearance of snow to start the weekend, a surge of milder air will soon ignite spring fever in Cleveland. The warmth, however, will not last long.

Sunday is shaping up to be another below-normal day in terms of temperatures for Cleveland.

An area of high pressure dropping down from Canada will usher in fresh chilly air after a little snow accompanying a cold front starts the weekend.

This will not be the beginning of yet another cold snap that has occurred so often this winter.

Spring fever will get ignited on Monday as the high shifts eastward and opens the door for milder air to surge in. Temperatures are set to soar into the 50s underneath a mixture of clouds and sun.

Just like Sunday's fresh chill, Monday's mild weather will not last long.

Temperatures will instead take a tumble by midweek, potentially setting the stage for snow to return. meteorologists will be closely monitoring the threat for a winter storm at midweek and its possible impacts on travel and daily routines in and around Cleveland.
